An FYI - if a debt collector calls, there are Federal laws that limit what they can say to you AND what they MUST say to you. Talking about your debt to a third party (your friends, your boss) is definitely illegal. Before you can be arrested for a bad debt, you must personally receive a subpoena - personally receive means that it must be placed in your hand by the debt collector himself or a process server. It can't be mailed, given to someone who isn't you - it must be delivered to your own hand. The Federal law is called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, or FDCPA. California has an even more restrictive version, just search for 'California FDCPA.'

Called me for the first time yesterday. No Caller Name, and I didn't recognize the number. Left no message. Called two additional times on the same day. After a call without a name and an unfamiliar number, leaving no message, I'm definitely not answering any additional calls. If this caller chooses to a leave a message, I'll return the call based on the message. By calling three times in one day, with no name on the ID, and leaving no message, the person calling is perilously close to violating the FDCPA - should they ever identify themselves.

Just called with ID of McDonald's, however guy said he was from my phone company, yet couldn't identify who my exisiting provider is. He finally said disregard call & hung up. tried calling the # back & it's busy.

I don't know who it is but they keep calling and its becoming very irritating.

I have been receiving calls from this number saying I have a loan that I did not repay. I do not have a loan with this company period. They have all my personal info and are threatening to have me arrested.

This is a solicitation call from a vendor who sells boxes. I have received 2 voice messages from someone named Kevin on my work number. I don't know how he got my number, as I am analyst and have nothing to do with provisioning supplies with my company.

Calls several times a day and says nothing. When I block the number, they call from another 1-508- number and it continues every day.

If I answer, the caller will not say anything. If I do not answer, the caller will not leave a voicemail message. I am keep a record of these calls because something is not quite right about this
